The Evergreen Classic Horse Show has historically been a benefit event for local charities and this tradition will continue in 2008.

The show is being produced this year by the Washington Hunter-Jumper Foundation, a brand new 501c3 charity. While the name is similar, this new entity is not the same as the existing Washington State Hunter & Jumper Association, a 501c7 non-profit entity.

The new Foundation was created to host horse shows and other educational events in Washington with proceeds going towards improving and expanding the hunter/jumper disciplines, providing scholarships and grants, and promoting interest and participation in the sport.  As a public charity, all donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible.  This includes all Evergreen Classic sponsorships.

In addition, we are also partnering with other charities and organizations who share the Foundation’s vision.  This year’s charity partner is Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center in Woodinville.  Little Bit has a long history with the Evergreen Classic and we’re excited to be partnering with them again this year. There is much excitement at Little Bit as they recently purchased Simpatico Stables in Redmond where they will be able to expand their current operations to provide their amazing services to even more children and adults with disabilities.
